Carbon Monoxide Safety Testing

Ambient levels of CO will be tested and recorded when combustion appliances are present, or when there is an attached garage. Carbon monoxide is lighter than air. So, all alarms should be installed at head-height, not down close to the floor. It is suggested that each house has one monitor per level.

Most store-bought CO alarms require very high levels for long periods of time prior to notifying you of danger. We recommend and distribute the NSI 3000 CO monitor, a battery powered, low-level health monitor.
